Insurance Responsibilities

  1. Grow Shirika Agency Business
  2. Conduct market research to understand customer needs and competitor activities to identify opportunities for product development.
  3. Promote various insurance policies such as motor, domestic, life, medical, travel e.t.c and provide clients with professional advice
  4. Provide expert guidance to clients on selecting appropriate insurance coverage options based on their needs.
  5. Follow up commission payment and reconciliation.
  • Claims and Policy Management
  • Efficiently process and resolve insurance claims in accordance with company policies.
  • Assess and process insurance applications and renewals in a timely manner.
  • Ensure premium is collected and remitted to the various underwriters.
  • Liaising with insurance companies to ensure vehicle valuation is conducted and reports submitted.
  • Supervise and monitor issuance of policy documents, certificates and renewal information to clients.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of policyholders and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Risk Management
  • Advise clients on effective risk management strategies and policy benefits.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential risks.
  • Compliance to Keep abreast of evolving insurance laws and regulations to ensure compliance

Marketing Responsibilities

  1. Strategy Implementation
  2. Design marketing strategies to promote insurance and other company products.
  3. Prepare promotional materials and presentations for various stakeholders.
  4. Conduct market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and trends to generate new business.
  5. Campaign Management
  6. Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns (digital, print, social media).
  7. Create compelling marketing materials including brochures, flyers, websites, and social media content.
  8. Customer Engagement
  9. Formulate strategies for customer acquisition and retention.  
  10. Manage customer feedback channels to maintain high levels of satisfaction.
  11. Brand Enhancement
  12. Enhance the company’s brand image and expand market presence.
  13. Represent the company at industry events and conferences to enhance visibility.

Qualifications for the role

  1. Bachelor’s degree in insurance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. Professional certifications in insurance (e.g., COP, ACII) preferred.
  3. Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in insurance sales.
  4. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Thorough understanding of insurance products, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. High ethical standards and integrity.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  9. Results-driven with a proactive approach to achieving goals.
  10. Ability to undertake graphic designs as a marketing tool will be an added advantage.
