INSURANCE, MARKETING AND SALES EXCECUTIVE
Job Summary
The Insurance, Sales & Marketing Executive will play a pivotal role in driving growth of Wanamataifa’s products including insurance agency business, Land and Housing partnerships. The primary focus is to develop and execute aggressive marketing strategies, mobilize customers, and secure new businesses across various business lines. This role aims at recruiting a results-oriented professional with a strong marketing and sales background and deep knowledge of insurance and land sales.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Market land and properties partnerships.
- Identify potential clients and investors, conduct property presentations, and site visits, and promote land, housing projects, and insurance products to increase sales and grow the customer base.
- Design and implement marketing campaigns across digital platforms, social media, and community outreach programs to promote land projects, real estate developments, and insurance products.
- Assist in conducting market research to identify high-demand areas for land and housing development, analyze competitor offerings, and recommend new partnership opportunities that align with market trends.
2. Grow Shirika Agency Business
- Identify and target potential clients within the UN SACCO membership and external markets to build a robust sales pipeline
- Market and sell a diverse portfolio of insurance products – including motor, domestic, medical, and life insurance covers
- Provide expert guidance to clients on selecting appropriate insurance coverage options.
- Follow up commission payment and reconciliation
- Achieve and exceed set monthly sales targets to ensure the sustainability of the agency
- Ensure high client retention rates through proactive follow-ups and timely policy renewals.
3. Insurance Claims and Policy Management
- Efficiently process and resolve insurance claims in accordance with company policies.
- Assess and process insurance applications and renewals in a timely manner.
- Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory mandates and internal company policies.
- Ensure premium payments and remitted to the various underwriters.
- Liaising with insurance companies to ensure vehicle valuation is conducted and reports submitted.
- To supervise and monitor issuance of policy documents, certificates and renewal.
- Send reminders to clients for renewals and clearance on premium balances.
- Assist in the preparation of statistical performance reports for the management and board.
4. Keep abreast with evolving insurance laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
5. Sales and Marketing Responsibilities
- Implement marketing strategies to promote insurance and other company products.
1. Prepare promotional materials and presentations for various stakeholders. - Conduct market research and intelligence to understand customer needs, preferences, and trends.
- Campaign Management
1. Plan, execute, and monitor marketing campaigns (digital, print, social media)
2. Create compelling marketing materials including brochures, flyers, websites, and social media content.
3. Manage customer feedback channels to maintain high levels of satisfaction. - Brand Enhancement
- Enhance the company’s brand image and expand market presence.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of Four (4) years of progressive experience in Land or insurance roles.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Thorough understanding of insurance products, Land marketing dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Terms of Engagement
This is a short-term contract position for 6 months to one year. Extension of the engagement is strictly dependent on the staff’s ability to meet KPIs and drive measurable growth for the insurance line of business.
